Live Sermon Bible Verse Display
This system listens to a live sermon through the Transcriber page, automatically
detects Bible verse references spoken aloud, and instantly displays the verse text on a shared
Display page — typically projected for a congregation or audience. The Transcriber
uses speech recognition to identify verses in real-time, and anyone viewing the Display page for
your room will see the verses appear as they are spoken.
How the pieces fit together:
- Transcriber Page — The operator runs this on a device with a microphone near
the speaker. It captures speech, detects Bible references, and sends them to the server.
- Display Page — Shown on a projector, TV, or any browser. It polls for new
verses and renders them beautifully with the selected theme and settings.
- Admin Panel (this page) — Manage your room's display settings, manually add or
remove verses, and preview how the display looks.
- Raw JSON — Advanced users can access the room data directly via the "Raw JSON"
link to build custom displays or integrations.
What you can do here:
- Manual Entry — Type a verse reference (e.g. "John 3:16") and send it to the
display without using the Transcriber.
- Verse Stack — View all verses currently on the display. Click 🗑️ next to any
verse to remove it, or use "Clear All" to wipe the entire display.
- Display Settings — Configure the default theme, font size, alignment, padding,
max visible verses, background image, and title bar branding.
- Live Preview — Toggle the preview to see exactly what the audience sees in
real-time.
Settings explained:
- Default Theme — The color theme the display starts with. Users on the display
page can override it locally.
- Default Font Size — The initial font size for verses on the display.
- Max Visible Verses — Limits how many verses show on the display (0 = show all).
- Alignment — Text alignment: Centered, Left, Right, or Justified.
- Padding — Space around verse cards: Very Tight, Tight, Normal, or Padded.
- Background Image — Optional URL for a background image on the display.
- Title Bar — Optional branding text or logo URL shown at the top of the display.
💡 Each display setting can be overridden
locally on the actual Display page by viewers using its own settings panel.
