While recording, you can say the following commands to control the app hands-free:

🛑 "Stop Recording"
Stops the active recording session.
â†Šī¸ "Remove Verse"
Removes the most recently sent verse from the server. Can be repeated.
đŸ’Ŗ "Clear Display"
Clears ALL verses from the display for everyone (no confirmation).

💡 Commands are detected in the final transcript and executed automatically. You'll see a notification when a command is recognized.

📖 Transcriber Instructions

This is the Transcriber Page for live Bible verse detection.

It listens to audio from your microphone and automatically detects Bible verse references spoken aloud. Detected verses are sent to the display in real-time.

How to use:

  • Enter your Room ID and PIN to authenticate.
  • Select a Bible Translation from the dropdown.
  • Press Start Listening to begin capturing speech.
  • Bible verse references will be auto-detected and sent to the display.
  • Use Manual Entry to send verses manually (e.g. "John 3:16").
  • Use the 🔗 buttons to view any verse on BibleHub.

Speaking Commands (say these while recording):

  • "Stop Recording" — Stops the active recording session.
  • "Remove Verse" — Removes the most recently sent verse.
  • "Clear Display" — Clears ALL verses from the display.

Buttons explained:

  • đŸ“ē Display — Opens the display page the audience sees.
  • âš™ī¸ Admin — Opens the admin panel for room management.
  • 🔄 Room — Switch to a different room.
  • A↕ — Cycle through font sizes.
  • 🎨 — Cycle through themes.
  • đŸ’Ŗ Wipe — Clear all verses from the display.

💡 This page works best in Chrome or Edge on desktop or Android. Safari and Firefox do not support Speech Recognition. On Android, the microphone permission prompt may appear after tapping Start.
